The Red Cape
Looking for an alternative to the same old American style march for festival? The Red Cape may be your answer. It is written in a Spanish style reminiscent of some of the classic Spanish marches like Amparita Roco, but it is within the technical limitations of young bands. Composer James Meredith draws on his many years of being a band director to give us something fresh and different for your next contest or festival warm-up march.

Eagle Lake March
Commissioned by a South Carolina Middle School Band, Eagle Lake March, has the stately character of the great British marches of Gustav Holst and Eric Coates. As with all good marches the main theme is memorably tuneful, and there is a fine collection of worthy counter melodies, as well. A modulation to F Major leads to a grandly scored and sonorous conclusion Duration: 4' Keys: Eb, F Ranges: Trumpet - F; Horn - Eb; Trombone - Eb

Festival Fanfare and March - Chris Bernotas
From the brilliant opening fanfare to the noble march, this little masterwork sounds more like an adventure movie score than a young band piece. This is a creative and spirited work for introducing students to 6/8 meter. Sounding a lot harder than it really is, this is a very likeable piece for opening a concert, or music festival.
