£183.99Keystone - Thierry Deleruyelle
Keystone tells the story of the Odeon of Vriezenveen, a town in the Netherlands. "Odeon" is the name of ancient Greek and Roman buildings used for activities such as singing, music and poetry. This was the name chosen in 1998 by several members of the 'Vriezenveense Harmonie' for the cultural centre they decided to have built. The piece starts slowly with the bass instruments, then speeds up in a counterpoint passage where the main motif moves from one set of instruments to another. After a slower section, the music speeds up again to reach a majestic chorale symbolising the splendid Odeon.

£89.99Eternal Friendship - Satoshi Yagisawa
This work is a close-up of the encounters and relationships of trust between people, following the idea that "friendship lasts forever." After the passing of Satoshi Yagisawa's close friend and work partner, Tsutomu Murata, a designer of Neo Create in August 2020, the composer began work on this piece. Murata performed music for audiences primarily as a leader and conductor of Kurume City Brass, a group which is active in Fukuoka Prefecture in Japan. Eternal Frienship depicts a five-minute chorale which explores "how music can convey that a close friend is indispensable to you, more broadly, everyone to someone," much like how Murata conveyed the appeal of music to his audiences. Under the direction of the composer himself, the work had its world premiere and was recorded with the Kobe College Wind Orchestra.

Aurora Dances was commissioned by the Hong Kong-based Winter Band Festival, and consists of three movements, to be played without a break. 'Aurora Borealis' opens with florid woodwind figures and highlights different sections of the band in turn. The second movement 'Aurora Australis' leads to a sombre chorale, which builds to a full-band climax. The finale 'Aurora Dances' is characterised by rhythmic, dance-like themes. A Sevenoaks Suite was commissioned by the Sevenoaks and Tonbridge Concert Band from Kent in the south-east of England. The suite describes 3 famous landmarks in the Sevenoaks and Tonbridge area: 'Knole Park', situated to the south-east of Sevenoaks. 'The Chapel - Tonbridge School': This movement centres around a hymn-like chorale, depicting the years of worship that have taken place within the chapel, and 'The Vine Bandstand' suggesting the type of music often played in bandstands. It is in march form, but is not actually a march throughout, veering off into other styles before ending emphatically.

£106.99Song Of Friendship - Philip Sparke
Song of Friendship was commissioned by the Concert Band of Jumonji University, Saitama, Japan and their conductor, Yutaka Nishida. The commission marked the 50th year of Yutaka Nishida's involvement with bands as a player, conductor and radio presenter. The ceremonial Song of Friendship opens with an extended fanfare, largely featuring the brass section. This leads to the main theme, which develops slowly until it is played by the full band. A change of key signals a contrasting central section containing a quiet woodwind chorale, which grows until the return of the triumphant sounding main theme. Elements of the opening fanfare then close the work.
