In a non-stop 9/8 rhythm, this piece explodes with energy and effervescence. Here's a marvelous and appealing first march for any young group. Carefully scored so that every section of the band has interesting parts, Paul uses a nice mix of full ensemble playing, counter lines, a percussion interlude and woodwind melodies.

As the title implies, this short yet dynamic work is intended as a fast-paced burner and quite possibly positioned at the front of any concert program. Filled with dynamic twists and turns, along with cascading woodwind passages and splashes of brass and percussion, there is a sense of almost being out of control as it reaches an exciting and dramatic finish.
