One of the biggest deficiencies in today's middle level bands is the ability for them to produce a smooth legato with connections between notes. This series of books for all band instruments presents a logical sequence in a variety of keys to improve the students' legato playing aspect of band performance. Introduce the march form to your students with the simplest of marches. This piece features bold trumpet fanfare figures, where quarter notes are the most difficult rhythms to play. In addition, the tune only uses the first 6 notes of the Bb scale (Bb through G) as its range.
