I utilized the Phrygian mode to capture the essence of Egypt. The piece consists of three main themes. The opening melody introduces us to the Falcon, flying through Egypt. Robust brass lines accompanied by energeticwoodwind ostinati. The second section captures the beauty of this creature by creating lush chords, lyrical themes and countermelodies. The final statement is strong, flowing and lyrical, accompanied by brass rhythms and percussive elements. The piece concludes with a slower, grandiose version of the main thematic statement.
