Ferran depicts various stages of the life of this ingenious architect and master of round, organic forms and shapes: from his humble beginnings to working on the Sagrada Familia, which would turn into a life-long task. Mirroring Gaudi's architecture, the musical lines of Gaudi are fluid and organic, the structure expansive, rich in colour and spellbinding, just like the buildings of the great Catalan architect.

£149.99Caledonia - Oliver Waespi
In Caledonia, Oliver Waespi adapted three well-known Scottish folk songs into a rhapsodic suite for wind orchestra. The first, rather humorous song, The Devil Came Fiddling Through the Town, tells the story of a devil who, as he passes through the streets of the town, catches the tax inspector and carries him off, much to the delight of the inhabitants. The second song, Ye banks and braes, is gentle and melancholy and based partly on the folk song Hey, tuttie tattie. Oliver Waespi took a symphonic approach to the adaptation of these lovely songs, which makes this a unique and innovative suite that can be performed at a concert or contest. Theindividual parts can also be performed separately.

£149.99Man in the Ice - Otto M. Schwarz
On September 19th, 1991 a mummified corpse of a man was found at the Similaun glacier in the -tztler Alps. The glacier unveiled an early man after 5,300 years, with all his personal belongings. His clothes and weapons were fairly well preserved and today allow us a deeper insight into that period. Austrian nature filmmaker Kurt Mndel reconstructed the life of this man and made a film which, based on facts, shows how it might have been then. Otto M. Schwarz used this documentary as an opportunity to write a work for symphonic wind band and musically resurrect the "Man in the Ice."
