On a sun-kissed evening, his friends, the musicians of his two music societies, Oefening Baart Kunst (Practice Makes Perfect) Otterlo, and the Re?nie Orkest Artillerie Trompetterkorps (Reunion Band Artillery Trumpet Corps), played the work for Gerard, an unknowing yet beautiful goodbye.
