The basis for the piece is the clarinet's construction from the wood of the African blackwood tree, and itssubsequent development into the instrument we know today. Equus - Erik Morales
Equus, Latin for "horse," takes us on a thrilling ride on one of these magnificent animals. Wood blocks help create the sound of the horse as the ensemble comes along for the ride.
