Forevermore - Thomas Doss

The work Forevermore was commissioned for a wedding; it describes the themes of friendship, partnership, and loyalty. One of the most beautiful things in life is going through it together and maintaining the bond of love forever. This solemn work opens with warm woodwind sounds and a soft percussion accompaniment, followed by a build-up to a colourful tutti passage. After a gentle middle section, a grand tutti sound develops again, but the work finally ends in an almost intimate atmosphere.

Forged in Fire - Rob Romeyn

An epic programmatic piece, "Forged In Fire" is a work of vibrant energy, vivid color and immense power. It draws inspiration from the immense power and uses of fire, and its effect on early civilization and industrialization. A calm and sensitive introductions leads to a new theme at a quickening tempo. This theme, stated simply at first, is then embellished by a driving rhythm multi-meter effect, and further developed with layered contemporary harmonies, changing textures and variations on the theme. After a breathtaking climax, the original theme is restated, more powerfully this time. It then subsides, before building to a shimmering, red hot ending that will leave your audience breathless. Certain to become a mainstay for concert and festival use. Not to be missed!

Forget Me Not, O Lord - Johann Sebastian Bach

An excellent example of Bach as a song writer. Taken from a volume of sacred songs published in 1736, Bach identifies it as an aria, not as a chorale, and must have thought of it as a lyrical melody to be sung in concert rather than as four square chorale.
