The piece opens with a pulsating rhythm, introducing a sense of journey and discovery. The structure, marked by dynamic sections, mirrors the telescope's mission to explore the universe from its orbit one million miles from Earth. The piece blends energetic rhythms with moments of awe, reflecting the vastness and beauty of space.

Temblor

Of Spanish origin, the word "temblor" means tremor or earthquake. This composition for the developing concert band is as unstoppable as the natural disaster it embodies. Aggressive in nature, but with some well placed repose and a stunning maestoso climax, Temblor is bound to excite students and audiences alike.

The Advocate

The Advocateis a spirited march that provides melodic opportunities and interesting parts for all sections of the band. Written in standard American march form and style, this original tune is reminiscent of the great marches of Fillmore or King and is perfect for any festival performance.

The Airships floats just like the aircrafts the piece is named after, inspired by composer George Sweet's childhood love of fantasy and adventure novels. Bold and strident, the dramatic ending of The Airships will inspire great confidence in your students.
