Chris Ferguson combines the standard bugle calls into this easy march for beginning students. Students are already familiar with it so they can be successful right away. The optional solo sections may also be performed in reference to the traditional solo bugle call. Ferguson brings a wealth of experiences working with beginners that have translated into this wonderful new march for young students.

Reverential Skies - Kenley Kristofferson

Reverential Skies reaches for new heights with triumphant fanfares, wistful lyrical passages, and majestic chorales, all centered around themes of gratitude and giving thanks. Set in Concert Bb, Eb and F major, every section of the band is featured in this Grade 2 work with great opportunities for teaching contrast, note shape, and articulation. The theme of thankfulness also engages players' hearts and minds to connect with the world around them and share appreciation for meaningful people and places.

Rhapsody In Blue - George Gershwin

George Gershwin (1898-1937) was known as a songwriter, but was interested in writing larger works. In 1922 he was commissioned to write a concerto for piano and orchestra. Rhapsody in Blue is one of his most famous works. This arrangement for band, without piano, is not a recreation of the original, but rather an exploration of many of the themes found in this composition. Clarinets all cross the break, and the 1st trumpet's highest note is G.

Rhythms of Grace

Ricochet is an explosive new composition from composer Sean O'Loughlin that is full of polychords and creative accents and is a study of rhythm and color for advancing ensembles. The music contains nods to master composers, while keeping a strong foot in the present and the future.

Rifle Regiment

When you hear the names John Phillip Sousa and Andrew Balent, you know they have to do with something great! Balent takes one of Sousa's most popular marches and works it down to keep some of the technical demands in check for most younger bands. Sousa wrote this march in 1886 to commemorate The Third Infantry, known as "The Old Guard."
