No Regrets

This adventurous piece opens with a burst of sound that foreshadows the spirited nature of the composition. The percussion section plays a leading role through a quiet, but restless, expansion of the opening motive. A stately brass chorale is followed by hauntingly quiet passages, transitioning to an aggressive outburst of percussion and winds. Every section will experience exciting moments leading up to the energetic coda the concludes in a major key.

Nordic Vision - Bill Calhoun

As the title implies, the piece depicts the sounds of the Nordic people. The piece opens with a mysterious flute or recorder solo to set the tone, followed by a more dance-like second section. Nordic Vision is lush and rich; full of mystery and wonder. A suitable choice for contest or festival.

Normal - Harold Bennett

North Point March

A traditionally styled March for the very youngest bands, North Point March uses only the first six notes of the B-flat major scale. Using this simple framework, Compello has created a very fine piece for introducing the American march-style to young people, and provided them with a particularly hummable tune in the trio.

North Star

North-South College All Stars - Henry Fillmore

As a composer, Henry Fillmore (1881-1956), was one of the greatest practitioners of the American style march. Written for the 1952 Orange Bowl game between the North and South College Football All Stars, this march has all the elements of the mature Fillmore style: energy, brilliance and abundant, memorable tunes. Robert Foster's concert edition will liven up any program and would also make a great encore.
