All the While

All the Whilewas inspired by a very special person in Tyler Arcari's life. Director's will be happy to find many opportunities for emotional and passionate playing with plenty of fun in the middle for young bands. All the While gives students a number of chancesto work on expressive playing during the beginning and ending sections, and offers a light rhythmic middle section for contrast.

Alpine March

A delightful German-style march with memorable tunes and full-sounding scoring that will make a young band shine. There is a classic fade-out at the end followed by a short forte in the last measure. Amadeus in the Percussion Box

Amadeus in the Percussion Box is a Grade 1 composition featuring the percussion section of a band in its first year of instruction. The theme is a simplification of Papageno's famous "Bird Catcher's" aria from Mozart's opera The Magic Flute, andprovides an opportunity for beginning players to learn about crescendos as well as first and second endings. An exciting introduction to one of classical music's most memorable melodies!

Amber Moon

Amber moons are beautiful and rare full moons, created when the sun is high in the sky and directly opposite the moon. Amber Moonbegins with an opening fanfare, then moves into the first theme based on this fanfare. A second statement of the theme is repeated softly, followed by a lyrical secondary theme in the woodwinds. Variations follow this statement, and cyclically, like the comings and goings of the Moon and Sun, the piece concludes with a return to the initial theme.

America

Intended for intermediate to professional concert bands, this unique setting of this patriotic standard is perfect for honoring the United States of America and members of the Armed Forces. Not a typical setting, many liberties are taken to showcase each instrument of the ensemble with the melodic focus constantly shifting. As this short fanfare-like composition progresses, the mood shifts from unsettled to triumphant. Feature this as a thought-provoking moment in your concerts.

American Emblem - Bill Calhoun

This new piece from composer Bill Calhoun is a distinctly American work for concert band that has potential as a concert or contest piece or as patriotic tribute to our great land. Starting with an open sounding fanfare, the piece leads to a truly American style melodic figure before developing variations on "Yankee Doodle" in ways reminiscent of other great American composers. This is followed by a heartfelt middle section, leading to a stunning climax with the opening material returning for an upbeat conclusion. This will make you band sound wonderful for concert or contest.

American Fiddle Tune Variations

Carl Strommen presents a new arrangement of the popular American folk song,Turkey in the Straw,in this delightful set of variations. Changes in style, meter,and textures drive this well-written setting by one of the most popular band composers. American Patriotic Medley

The medley: Columbia, The Gem Of The Ocean, When Jesus Wept, Chester, and America, The Beautiful. There is a variety of key and meter changes. It is beautifully written, and certainly will be a proud pleaser in any concert. The 1st trumpet's highest note is A.
