Carol of the Bells/Greensleeves - Mykola Leontovich

Larry has literally combined two of the most popular holiday carols into a full symphonic treatment where both tunes are presented together in a unique way. This is a perfect composition for young bands looking for a challenging piece for their holiday concert or for a high school band to use with limited rehearsal time.

Cascabeles

With a fresh Latin American groove, this adaptation of the holiday favorite "Jingle Bells" will be a unique addition to any holiday concert. Although a holiday choice, the articulation and rhythmic accuracy demands will let you teach while students enjoy. With expanded percussion, plenty of syncopation and interesting melodic and accompaniment twists, this almost leaps off the page!

Castlebay

This fresh new setting of two traditional Scottish folk songs, Will Ye No Come Back Again and Keel Row, was written in honor of its namesake, the Scottish village Castlebay. Composer Gene Milford has crafted a well-scored offering for contest/festival performance that is reminiscent of English-style band pieces. After the striking opening, the piece moves to the more fiddle-like Keel Row in a lilting 6/8. All of the sections of the ensemble get to shine and the band will sound formidable with this piece.

Catawba Crossing

Named for the beautiful Catawba River, this piece begins with a brilliant fanfare, revealing the principle motive upon which the entire composition is based. Shifting tonalities and colorful scoring are the hallmark of the opening section. This is followed by an expressive con moto section that provides the piece with dramatic contrast. Once the opening theme returns, Catawba Crossing develops into a rousing march in 6/8 time, followed by a return to the opening material, bringing the piece to an exciting conclusion. An impressive choice for contest or festival performance.

Caves of Sacromonte

The Caves of Sacromonte are located in Granada, Spain. This complex of whitewashed cave houses were dug into the hillside, providing safety for inhabitants and shelter from the harsh Andalusian sun and the winter rains. Today, the mysterious caves remain as an ethnographic museum of a forgotten age. Experience the Spanish-influenced sound of music depicting these ancient wonders.

Cedar Canyon Sketches

Cedar Canyon Sketches will take you on a journey through the Texas Hill Country. It begins with the tranquil sounds of nighttime blanketing a peaceful canyon. Chambers then deftly moves the piece through a joyful wagon ride section, and later delivers the apex of the piece, which was inspired by a beautiful sunset. A very programmable piece, this will be a hit at your next concert!

Celebration of Peace

Celebration of Peace is a fantasy on Oseh Shalom (He Who Makes Peace), a traditional Hebrew song. This lively arrangement uses mixed meter, tempo changes, syncopation, and instrumental textures to portray the jubilant dance.

Celtic Scents - Kazimierz Machala

Celtic Scents is an amazing suite of wonderful musical scents (wildflowers, herbs, and trees) unified by the brilliant imagination of world-renowned teacher, performer and composer Kazimierz Machala, and the familiar sounds of Celtic folk music. This completely original work of seven movements is reminiscent of Grainger's Lincolnshire Posy, including a very creative and enjoyable harmonic palette. The composition requires a full wind band and takes advantage of colorful orchestration to link each movement more closely to the scent it represents. While Machala composed Celtic Scents originally for orchestra, he has carefully and artistically re-orchestrated the work for the modern wind band. Celtic Scents will best suit performances by collegiate and professional wind bands around the world due to the advanced technical and musical requirements. There is absolutely no doubt that audiences and performers will enjoy their time spent with this joyful and engaging composition.
