£139.99Suite on Celtic Folk Songs - Tomohiro Tatebe
This suite for wind band consists of three Old Irish melodies: "March" is a traditional Irish march of slower 6/8 beat. Led by a characteristically accented drum, the drone effect of a Uilleann bagpipe rings through for an air of courage. Next is a beautiful and nostalgic theme titled "Yellow Village Gate" in Gaelic, the first language of Ireland. Here, a solo piccolo presents the image of a simple fife. "Reel" is a typical Irish dance of very quick tempo. Maintaining the pace from beginning to end, intensified motion combining duple and 6/8 meter drives through to the coda's bold conclusion. Y.M.C.A. - Jacques Morali
Y.M.C.A. is without a doubt the biggest hit of the outlandish pop group The Village People. Your audience will dance along to this fun and energetic arrangement!

£134.99Odilia - Jacob de Haan
Odilia is an up-tempo and joyful ode to Baume-les-Dames, a village in the department of Doubs in Franche-Comt, Eastern France. The title is derived from the legend of Odilia of Alsace (venerated as Saint Odilia, or Odile), the daughter of the Duke of Alsace. She was born blind, and literally saw the light at the age of twelve at the convent of Baume-les-Dames. From this miraculous occurrence, she was dubbed Odilia -- child of light.Jacob de Haan was inspired by medieval dance music for the opening of this composition. In the slow movement that follows, a lyrical minor theme builds to a dramatic climax, which is followed by a calm passage featuring the repeatedlyrical theme. Finally, the medieval motif returns, this time presented in a festive gospel version.

£149.99Valdemossa - Matthias Rudolf
Valdemossa, a town situated in the mountains of the Mediterranean island of Mallorca, inspired composer Matthias Rudolf to write this work. The picturesque Mediterranean village has a distinct Spanish flair, and the magnificent landscape surrounding the town leaves a lasting impression. Valdemossa is also a place of cultural tradition - composer Frdric Chopin spent several months in this town. The work consists of several parts merging with various characters. Calm, pensive passages alternate with expressive lyrical and rhythmic parts connected by a theme that returns in different variations. Spanish folklore elements--which are embedded in the formal structure of a"classical" rhapsody and represent the southern European atmosphere of Valdemossa--leave their mark on the complete work.
