The Greek word 'hypernikon' roughly translates as 'More Than Conquerors', the motto of Gordon College in Wenham, Massachusetts the commissioner of this piece. The work is inspired by David Rox's very own name the first two letters of his name, D and A, sets the first theme is in D major, with these notes being the tonic and dominant of the scale. After the stately intrada, the tempo accelerates and the festive feel of the march emerges. The trio melody serves as a beautiful contrast before finally ending with the opening theme in a grand tutti.

The Village on River Mark was composed to commemorate the 110th anniversary of the Wind Band 'Costantia' from Ulvenhout in the Netherlands. In five connected parts this work describes the rural and forested areas surrounding the village Ulvenhout situated on the river Mark. The six-tone theme is in the style of Anton Gustav Mahler. With changes in tempo and mood, this is a beautiful programmatic work, which is pleasurable for the listener, and interesting for the musicians.

Glorioso was commissioned by, and is dedicated to, the 'Siena Wind Orchestra'. The work opens after a short aleatoric intro, with an energetic and brassy 'one tone fanfare'. The note F acts as an omnipresent note, and is also used as a bridge into the second, rather static movement. A noble sounding theme leads to an impressive climax, shortly followed by the spectacular and virtuoso finale, which is built on the musical elements that have been heard before. Stylistically, this sparkling finale is clearly influenced by Dmitri Shostakovich, hence the use of the famous signature used by the Russian Master: C D E flat B (or C flat). A glorious finish to a special workthat highlights various facets of the modern concert band.

Les pcheurs de perles (The Pearl Fishers) is an opera in three acts by French composer Georges Bizet, who particularly made his fame with his opera Carmen. The friendship duet Au fond du temple saint, generally known as ThePearl Fishers Duet, is one of the best known in the opera literature. This arrangement for two trombones was written for and dedicated to trombone legends Joseph Alessi and Jrgen van Rijen. It serves as a possible encore piece in combinationwith Two-Bone Concerto, which was also written for them. The duet can also be performed by two euphoniums, or as the original vocal duet for tenor and baritone voice.
