An authentic edition by Robert E. Foster, this classic march maintains the integrity of the original work by Henry Fillmore. Written for the University of Florida band, this piece was actually dedicated to all Floridians. Fillmore was known throughout Florida as "Uncle Henry" and he was instrumental in the development of band programs throughout the state. A great tune!

Richard Strauss' Wiener Fanfare, the shorter version ofFestmusik der Stadt Wien - a piece originally written for ten trumpets, seven trombones, two tubas, and timpani - was the basis ofthis arrangement for concert band by Franco Cesarini. Strauss completed the "Festmusik" on 14 January 1943 after having previously received the "Beethoven Prize" in 1942. He dedicated the piece to the City Council of Vienna as a sign of his gratitude. Strauss conducted the premiere of this work in the Festival Hall of Vienna City Town Hallon 9th April 1943.An arrangement that highlights the characteristics of Franco Cesarini's writing.

This colourful work consists of three movements: 'The 7th Tribe', 'Eternal Fidelty' and 'Conquest of the Homeland'. The march is composed in 6/8 time throughout, with the folk song theme likewise arranged in this meter. An optional performance with male choir is possible, with the _x005F_x001F_first two verses, together with the last verse, sung.
