Originally scored and recorded by the U.S. Marine Band with strings, John later arranged the music for band only and it will be performed by the Marine Band on tour. This published arrangement is slightly simplified and shortened from that version. Sections of the piece represent various important time periods in the history of The White House. The very nature of this "time capsule" approach makes this number a wonderful tool for teaching musical style concepts. Challenging!
