This four movement piece was composed around three recognized chorale melodies: Durch Adams Fall ("Through Adam's Fall") in the first movement; O Lamn Gottes, unschuldig ("O Lamb of God, without Blame") in the second movement; and Christ lag in Tdesbanden ("Christ Lay in the Bonds of Death") in the third and fourth movements. Although Maslanka's works usually portray feelings of loss and grief, Symphony No. 5 is filled with a bright and hopeful energy. The music continually speaks to the theme of transformation - the transformation of tears into power, and the victory of life over death.

This composition, written in 1997 and commissioned by the New Mexico Wind Symphony, is based on the second piece from Fugitive Visions, a work that is comprised of 20 short piano pieces written by the young Sergei Prokofiev in 1915-17. Gryc, intrigued by the contrasting elements and moods in this short piece, expands upon Prokofiev's original theme and creates a truly dynamic work that include five variations in various musical styles.

Landscapes" is a three-movement work by composer Georges Sadeler, capturing different landscapes and their unique atmospheres through music.The first movement, Ancient Castle", takes us back to the early Middle Ages, where a majestic castle towers over the landscape. Sadeler brings the grandeur and fortitude of the ancient walls to life - from dark, powerful sounds of the fortress to heroic fanfares that speak of past battles.In the second movement, Magic Forest", we enter an enchanted world created by Mother Earth. Gauthier Dupertuis wrote Anemoia as part of his master's thesis at the Lausanne University of Music. It is dedicated to the most significant figure in his musical life: his teacher Jean-Claude Kolly.Anemoia is the name given to the feeling of nostalgia that one feels for a time that has never known. This emotion often translates into the uneasy sensation of having lost something important or of not living at the right place or time. Fascinated by this concept, Gauthier Dupertuis tried to translate it into music oscillating between exaltation, anguish and nostalgia.The piece is formed by two movements: (Un)desired sorrow and Behind the glass of time. The first movement initially evokes the feeling of unease one feels when suddenly struck by anemoia. It then evolves into majestic atmospheres, marking our admiration for times gone by. The second movement treats anemoia in a more melancholic way.The premiere took place on 6th December 2024, during Jean-Claude Kolly's last concert as a conductor of the Concordia de Fribourg, marking thirty years spent conducting this wind orchestra.

This concert march with a solemn and festive character was commissioned to Gauthier Dupertuis by the the Musikkapelle Altheim e.V (Germany) to celebrate its 100th anniversary. The thematic material of the first section of the march is based on a three-note motif, proclaimed by the brass in the first measure. The second part of this theme presents a recurring motif throughout the piece. This first section has a festive and resolutely giocoso character. The trio presents a new, more lyrical and solemn theme. After a short divertimento based on the material from the first section, the theme returns in a majestic way, leading to a climactic finale. Altheim: a concert march perfect for a festive occasion!

Phenomenon" is a captivating piece for symphonic wind orchestra, fundamentally based on a single melodic motif while drawing inspiration from various musical genres. The motif, introduced as a horn solo at the beginning, features alternating intervals that leap both upward and downward: the perfect fourth, sixth, fifth, and second (4-6-5-2). Interestingly, this sequence of numbers corresponds to the postal code of the Austrian town of Steinerkirchen. Phenomenon" is a motivic and musical composition that captures the spirit, emotional intensity, and musicality of the remarkable phenomenon that is the music association of this town.Commissioned by the Musikverein Steinerkirchen" for the regional competition in 2022 at performance level E, this piece is dedicated to them. The music association is directed by Roland Kastner, with organizational leadership provided by Michael and Hubert Ecklbauer. Special thanks are due to these dedicated individuals, who play a significant role in promoting the remarkable phenomenon that is the Musikverein Steinerkirchen". The orchestra consists of a diverse mix of young and older amateurs, all of whom consistently achieve musical excellence through determination and ambition. Each member of this orchestra is, therefore, an integral part of this impressive phenomenon.
