The President's March - Henry Fillmore
A delightful new edition of a classic Fillmore march, authentically presented by editor Robert E. Foster. It was written to honor the president of the University of Miami, an institution with which Fillmore had many connections. This was the last march that Fillmore wrote before his death in 1956. In 1881, after being named conductor of the United States Marine Band, Sousa composed six new marches to add to the bands repertoire. One of them, Wolverine March, was "respectfully dedicated to His Excellency Hon. David H. Jerome, Governor of Michigan, and Staff." Lively, bright, and stylish, its tuneful quality makes it a natural march addition to concert band programs. As an additional note, Sousa wrote another march in 1926 which he called The Pride of the Wolverines; and while the titles are similar, they are distinctly separate marches and should not be confused with each other.

A journey on the Swiss railway can take you through some of the worlds most beautiful scenery with one of the most spectacular journeys being through the Swiss Alps between Zermatt to Disentis and Andermatt to Gschenen. £184.99Children'S March Over The Hills And Far Away - Percy Aldridge Grainger
Percy Grainger's extraordinary scoring skills permeate this classic, carefree work for symphonic band. Children's March: Over the Hills and Far Away, originally a piano solo, was orchestrated by the composer while he was a member of the U.S. Coast Guard Artillery Band. It includes two unusual scoring elements for the time - a prominent part for piano (cued in the winds), and brief four-part vocal interludes to be sung by members of the band (or a small chorus ad lib). Grainger believed that the greatest expressivity could be found in the lower instruments of the band (particularly the lower woodwinds), and Children's March includes a liberal and highly specialized use of the bassoons, English horn, bass clarinet and low saxophones. The march was first performed by the renowned Goldman Band in 1919, and was recorded in its original form by the same band with the composer conducting. (Full set includes a vocal score.)
