Another fabulous arrangement from Adrian Taylor of popular tunes for Junior Wind Ensemble. It is not necessary to have all parts being played for these arrangements. Most will work fine with just the two Trumpet/Clarinet parts and a bass line from trombones, tubas or bassoons. With the exception of the bassoon part, all instruments have a part 1 (more advanced and with key signatures) and a part 2 (easier music, lower notes, rarely crossing the break for woodwind players, and without key signatures for treble clef instruments). A piano part is included to help fill out the harmonies for smaller groups.

The arrangements and compositions in these books were written by Adrian Taylor for various beginner or school bands that he has conducted over the years. Children joined these bands on the 2nd parts, usually having only been playing for a year and they then progressed to the 1st parts the following year.This volume of music was orchestrated a little differently to the other volumes but the easiest parts for each instrument continue to be written without key signatures in treble clef, in B flat major for bass clef trombone and euphonium and in E flat major for bass clef tuba. More advanced parts are written with the appropriate key signatures for each piece, reflecting the greater understanding and skills of the players on these parts. Most of the pieces can be played with only a few parts being covered, the addition of the other parts usually enhancing the arrangement rather than simply doubling existing musical lines. The essential parts are the Trumpet (and Clarinet or Cornet) parts, the two Trombone/Euphonium parts and in No. 4, the 1st Horn part. A piano part helps to fill out the harmonies where other parts are missing. The brass parts in the wind band versions are identical to those in the brass versions. This volume was created so that beginner players can play Calypso and When The Saints, which feature in Just Play... Book 1, accompanied by their school band.

Voyage Into The Blue was commissioned by the Windbands of Mizumaki Minami Junior High School, Koyo Junior High School and Fukuma Junior High School bands performed the work in a competition. The pictorial music describes the voyage of an airplane. The introduction depicts the take-off, which is then embellished by the following section marked 'energico'. The second movement is an attractive setting of the flight itself. The slow section depicts a star-filled night sky. The close presents the landing at dawn: the flight is over. This beautiful chorale was commissioned by the Temasek Junior College Alumni Band from Singapore and is dedicated to its conductor, Mr. Lin Ah Leck, who sadly passed away in 2019. The music pays homage to Maestro Lin-sheng, as he was affectionately called by the band members. Mr. Lin, a devotee of Yagisawa's music, selected many of his works for their concerts. Having visited Singapore many times, the composer has had the opportunity to listen to Mr. Lin and his band perform and was deeply moved by their expressive and warm performances, leading to him writing this chorale work about the 'eternal bond' between a teacher and his students. The world premiere of this piece in Singapore by the Temasek Junior College Alumni Band was titled Echoes of Temasek - In Memory of Meastro Lin-sheng. For this publication, it has been revised and retitled Memories of the Past.Duration: 5.00

It portrays the "Japantowns" established by Japanese emigrants around the world. They are often called "Little Tokyo", in reference to the capital of Japan. The three movements each focus on a region with such a Japanese community.
