Prelude to a Pageant was commissioned by Woodley Concert Band to celebrate their 40th anniversary in 2014. This lively tune appears early in the work, after an arresting, rhythmic opening and expressive slower section, and also forms the final climax.

£76.99Symphonic Prelude - Benjamin Yeo
Symphonic Prelude was written on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the founding of the St. Andrews school centre in Singapore. After a festive opening in the trumpet(s), a brisker passage based on the school song follows, which then leads to a lyrical middle section. At the close, the opening motif reappears and comes to the fore. The colourful, dynamic instrumentation makes this Symphonic Prelude an excellent appetizer to open your concert.
