So Nata Per Te -- or Naci para ti in Spanish -- translates as "I was born for you". This symphonic suite is inspired by Pepe Domingo, a great music enthusiast and lover of life who wanted to commemorate his long and happy marriage to his dear wife, Concha. He commissioned Ferrar Ferran to set to music the great bond of their partnership: the couple will be able to close their eyes and relive through the music their most precious memories one by one.So Nata Per Te is a suite of many contrasts. Its contemporary, modern flavours are entertaining while the colourful variations are exciting and fascinating. Audience members may recall happy memories in their ownlives listening to the delightful, famous tunes that appear throughout the work and, although somewhat different from the originals, they are easily recognisable.Ferrer Ferran dedicated this work to Pepe Domingo and his wife Concha not only for their great enthusiasm and passion for music, but also for their mutual love. So Nata Per Te was premiered on 27 February 2010 at the Auditorio Florida of Paiporta (Spain) by the Banda Primitiva de Paiporta, conducted by the composer.

At the end of 1944, Allied troops invaded the Netherlands from Belgium. Hope and longing for freedom, which now seemed so close, swept through the Netherlands: Operation Market Garden was launched. Huge numbers of paratroopers made the dangerous jump to take over enemy territory on the south side of the Rhine. Fierce fighting and attempts to cross and secure the river resulted in heavy casualties for the liberating forces. Ground support from the south came too late and there was no alternative but to call off Operation Market Garden. What looked like a quick liberation of the Netherlands turned into a long, bitter struggle. To make matters worse, a harsh winter followed: hunger and cold ate away at hope and the prospect of a liberated Netherlands. Sledgehammer - Peter Gabriel
Sledgehammer was released both as single record and included in the album So by British artist Peter Gabriel in 1986. The song is the biggest hit to this day by Gabriel. The song is inspired by the 50's soul music, in particular the music recorded by Memphis-based record label Stax. Gabriel achieved three Grammy-nominations for the song and album, but without winning any of them. However, the video has wonseveral prizes and are to this day the most played music video at MTV.

"Sing Sang Sung" is inspired by "Sing Sing Sing" from the legendary 1938 Carnegie Hall Concert by Benny Goodman & His Orchestra. The famous "Jungle Groove" presented by drummer Gene Krupa and the opening riff from the 1938 performance is retained in this brilliant, swinging tune composed by Gordon Goodmin. The style changes from swing to "jungle groove" (with extensive use of tom-toms), is essential for both these tunes. The best sound recording of "Sing Sang Sung" is "Swingin' For the Fences" by Gordon Goodwin Big Phat Band released in 2000. But, you should also listen to the original "Sing Sing Sing" from the 1938 Benny Goodman recording as well!

War and Peace was commissioned 2021 by The Royal Swedish Navy Band and conductor Alexander Hanson to mark the celebration of The Svea Life Guards' 500th anniversary.I. "Fanfares and Battle" opens in a heroic and optimistic nature but changes abruptly as the medieval hymn Dies Irae, Day of Wrath, brakes in. The battle commences. The movement ends with a recap of the opening part.II. "In memoriam" is a funeral march in memory of war victims and suffering people.III. "Peace and Rejoice" pictures soldiers and people celebrating that the war is over. The music reflects an atmosphere of dignity, optimism and joy for life.
