Gabriel's Message is the familiar story of Mary: Most highly favoured lady, for known a Mother thou shalt be, all generations laud and honour thee. This a cappella setting by David Willcocks is based on three or four linear parts, which have been interchangeably used to enhance this compatible arrangement for band. In addition to performing it as written, the conductor may choose a variety of family-oriented parts complete within themselves to further vary the presentation. This arrangement represents one in the Series of Band Arrangements compatible with David Willcocks' Carols for Choirs.

John Rutter's Requiem is a musical setting of parts of the Latin Requiem with added psalms and biblical verses in English, completed in 1985. This arrangement is scored for soprano, mixed choir and Concert/Wind Band. It may be performed by band alone. Five of its seven movements are based on text from the Latin Requiem Mass, while the second movement is a setting of Out of the deep (Psalm 130) and the sixth movement is an anthem The Lord is my Shepherd (Psalm 23) which Rutter had earlier written. The cello solo of the second movement is maintained, but also scored as a bassoon solo. The first movement combines the Introit and Kyrie, the third is Pie Jesu, with soprano solo. The central movement is a lively Sanctus, followed by Agnus Dei and finally Lux aeterna. In the Agnus Dei and Lux aeterna, Rutter combines the liturgical Latin text with English biblical verses. The arranger has added the tolling of the bell at the end, which can be as few or as many as may be appropriate for the occasion.

O come, O come Emmanuel is a Christian hymn for Advent and Christmas. It is a translation of a Latin hymn, Veni, veni, Emmanuel, itself a metrical paraphrase of the O Antiphons, a series of plainchant antiphons attached to the Magnificat at Vespers over the final days before Christmas. The 1861 translation from Hymns Ancient and Modern is the most prominent by far in the English-speaking world, but other English translations also exist., Translations into other modern languages (particularly German) are also in widespread use. This arrangement for Concert/Wind Band represents one in the series of band arrangements compatible with David Willcocks Carols for Choirs, Book 2 (#27).

Regiment of Heroes was written for and dedicated to "The Presidents Own" United States Marine Band. This powerful composition opens with a lively syncopated figure followed by a contrasting melodic trio-like section. The opening section returns, this time bringing the piece full circle back to the trio section, only now in a more majestic style. The piece concludes with a quickly paced coda utilizing fragments from the opening statement. A terrific addition to the wind band repertoire. Duration: 4:40
