The French song Comme d'Habitude was composed by the French singer Claude Franois, shortly after the star had broken his relation with singer France Gall. The song was arranged by David Whitaker in 1967 and became Claude Franois's biggest hit. The English version by Paul Anka turned it into an inter-national hit. The versions by Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley and the Sex Pistols (to name just a few) increased the immense popularity of song which became an evergreen.

Literally "The Birds of Brazil", this title refers to the Brazilian people. In Part 1 Passaros coloridos (Coloured Birds) an ocarina or panflute imitates an amazon bird. Part 2 Pomba Triste (Sad Dove) is in a bossa nova style, and tells of the samba girls for whom carnival is not just fun but also a source of income. Part 3 Os Passaros no Carnaval (The Birds of the Carnival) is a typical fast samba from Rio and culminates in a spontaneous melody sung by all the carnival revellers.European parts free download

Davide Delle Cese, an Italian composer born in Pontecorvo (Frosinone), was band conductor in Venice, San Leo and Bitonto. In 1897 he wrote this march dedicated to an anonymous little English girl, who had a big success also in the USA. It is a typical Italian concert march, played very often in the south, very fresh and 'cantabile', with dramatical moments.

As the title suggests, this is quasi musical theatre and an optional script is included for a narrator or member of the band. There are crazy clowns, a parade of animals, toy soldiers, a trapeze artist and a marching band of little people intent on interrupting the show with wrong notes and clumsy playing! The piece ends with an upbeat jazzy rendition of the main theme, first heard on Alto Saxophone. 'Circus Scenes' is a colourful piece for all the band.

Yet another classic from master film composer Ennio Morricone. This is an arrangement of the title song from the film 'Once Upon A Time in America'. This film is an Italian-American crime film from 1984 directed by Sergio Leone. This very playable arrangement is from the pen of Ton van Grevenbroek, and is of medium difficulty.

£101.20Manta Scramble - Tohru Kanayama
I composed this work in 2010 under the title "Nu-Bossa". This first version had an unusual instrumentation, including two electronic organs, so in 2012 I rewrote it as a large wind band composition and changed the title to "Manta Scramble". This work is basically a bossa nova, but with an inserted swing part featuring a saxophone section. The title, "Manta Scramble" is the name of a diving spot near Ishigaki Island, Japan, known as a point where you can encounter manta rays at close quarters.

£101.20Galactic Quest - Guillaume Detrez
Inspired by various science fiction films, the piece "Galactic Quest" offers an original vision of Space and the elements that constitute it. Take-off, black holes, milky voice, encounter of the 3rd type... In the middle of the piece, a solo part is set up and can be played on the synthesizer or the trombone. This piece is a nod to Thomas Pesquet, French astronaut and also saxophonist with an alto saxophone solo in the penultimate part.
