An arrangement for full band of the well-known Adagio from Oboe Concerto in D minor op. 1, now attributed to Alessandro Marcello (1673-1747). It is a popular work in the oboe repertoire. Written in the early 18th century, it is Marcello?€s best known composition and was transcribed for harpsichord by Bach (BWV 974). In the transcription Bach greatly embellished the melodic line of the Adagio middle movement.
