    A Christmas Dream - Romeyn

Pure and beautiful, "A Christmas Dream" is a creative, lyrical setting of "Angels We Have Heard On High" for beginning band. A fresh harmonic "twist" gives this a new age feel, adding a lot of interest and intrigue for both the performer and listener. Snippets of other carols are added in creative and subtle ways. It's also very appropriate for more experienced groups that are looking for a change of pace for the holiday concert, but may have limited rehearsal time. A beautifully sensitive holiday selection!

The second movement is a bittersweet celebration on the death of the perpetrator and a future of joy, peace, and life. Every BandQuest project includes a residency component in which the composer works collaboratively with a middle school as they create their new piece. Many BandQuest pieces are accompanied by an interdisciplinary curriculum designed to assist students as they learn the music and to integrate each piece with non-music studies. Symphony for the Future was originally a soundtrack written for a multimedia spectacle with film, light and laser effects. The soundtrack, which initially consisted of 4 parts, was played live by a symphonic orchestra and a pop group, in sync with the screening of a film. Fanfare For A Friend - Bert Appermont

'Fanfare for a Friend' was originally composed as an introductory piece for the brass ensemble Musica Mosana and their conductor Mark Prils. The work begins with a brilliant brass fanfare that presents the main theme for the first time. This stately theme can be heard in counterpoints throughout the first 28 bars. This is followed by a contrasting and rapid part whereby a melodic theme can be heard against a more rhythmic accompaniment.
