Celtic Dreams - Mike Forbes

Beginning with a haunting bell solo to set the mood, Celtic Dreams takes the listener on a musical journey through the British Isles. The piece is original but has all of the signature qualities of Celtic music, from drones and soaring folk-like melodies to the sounds of the Bodran in the percussion parts. A welcome addition to the young band repertoire.

Celtic Farewell - Michael Sweeney

Music has power to help us heal and cope with the loss of loved ones. Using the beloved traditional Scottish ballad The Parting Glass combined with an original new melody, here is a beautifully paced and sensitive musical memorial with a Celtic flavor. A key element of this work is the use of Highland bagpipes. If a pipe player is not available, this part is cued in multiple parts throughout the band (or use a synthesizer with bagpipe patch). A moving tribute for any memorial. Dur: 4:30

Roland Kernen has developed a true fascination for the traditional music scene and for Celtic folk music in particular. The Celts fed on a rich blend of legend and myth which is skillfully portrayed in Celtic Gathering. This lyrical piece embraces two musical atmospheres. The first melodic line, written in a minor key, expresses the cheerful character of a group dance, whilst the second line, written in a major key, portrays perfectly the joyful mood of a Celt village.Why not add a touch of Celtic magic to your band repertoire.

Celtic Journey - Robert E. Foster Jr.

Celtic Journey is based on a memorable old Irish jig called Road to Lisdoonvarna. The setting begins lyrically with a simple statement that gradually adds more instruments as it builds to the sprightly middle section. With the full ensemble playing the tuneful melody and driving Irish rhythms in the percussion section, you hear all the color and flair thats exemplified by great Irish folk music.
