Based on our popular New Bennett Band Book series, we have compiled march-style warm-ups in a separate publication so they may be used by all bands wishing to learn from them. These innovative warm-ups and fundamental drills are the ultimate method of teaching and reinforcing the March style.

Reflections On An English Hymn

Rejoice, Dolce, and Dance

Written in three different and distinct styles, this concert and contest composition has bold majestic sections, lyrical legato areas and fast lighter technical portions. Full of room for director interpretive elements, the band that pays close attention to articulations and dynamics will not only enjoy performing but also learning the many musical concepts presented in this easier than it sounds selection.

Rejouissance - Andrew Yozviak

This Renaissance style composition is a rapid fire work with the opening tempo at 152. It is a truly fine work appreciated by the audience and a great experience for your students. This is also ideal for community bands. 1st trumpet's highest note is Bb.

Relics of the Past

Remembering

"Remembering" was premiered on May 18, 2023 and written in loving memory of three students who attended J.J. Pearce High School (Richardson, Texas), and one teacher, all who passed away tragically. The composition is played in a legato, reflective manner, encouraging soloists to interpret their lines expressively.Throughout the piece, careful balance and listening will bring out the open intervals, and develop essential listening skills in the performers.

Remembering Pearl Harbor

Written to commemorate the 80th Anniversary of the surprise attack on Pearl Harbor, this stirring tribute honors those who fought on December 7, 1941. Beginning with chimes signifying the hour of the attack, the composition takes the listeners and performers on a moving journey from the precarious moments before the attack, through the air strike and resulting aftermath. Including statements of "Anchors Aweigh", "Taps", "Eternal Father, Strong to Save", and fragments of many other tunes, this composition demonstrates the resilience of all mankind.

Remembrance

Written in 2018, Remembrance is a tender, melancholic reflection that silently gives thanks to those who came before us, by whose deeds we have been gifted what we have today, and, in turn, asks us to pave the way for those who succeed us through thoughtful action.
