There is a song you can have in any concert and a great salute to our Armed Service people. Written for the men to come home from World War I, it is still a great song to play at any concert. Everyone gets to play the melody. Clarinets do not cross the break. 1st trumpet's highest note is C.

Overlords is a dramatic work for the developing concert band. An overlord is a person who is in a position of power or supremacy. The music reflects this with its powerful and aggressive style.

Overture to a Small Town - Cooper Minnis

Written in honor of the victims of the mass shooting that took place at the First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs, Texas on November 5th, 2017, Overture to a Small Town portrays a sense of hope, dignity, and innocence. The piece features movement of sections together as one unified voice, with individual articulations in various parts, such as the flutes, trumpets, and mallets, throughout. A powerful statement.
