It begins with a fanfare-like presentation of "The Colorado Trail" folk song followed by a lush and lyrical setting of "Goodbye Old Paint." This is followed by a rousing finish based on "The Old Chisolm Trail." This perfect piece for festival performance is easy enough for developing bands, making it a real winner!

. A true transcription of this beautiful Romantic Era work by one of the Russian Mighty Five composers. It is not complicated and the ranges are mostly in the Grade 3 category. But the 6 1/2 minute work with the key for the last half of the work going to 3 sharps concert pitch makes it a grade 4.

On The Wings Of Butterflies

Perfect for your first concert. Easy and beautiful. It is a great song for teaching balance and dynamics. Rhythmically there are only whole, half and quarter notes.Clarinets do not cross the break, and the first trumpet's highest note is C.

On Wind and Sails - Roger Cichy

The programmatic theme of this composition is sailing in the waters of Narragansett Bay and sail boat racing. It is an exciting work in 6/8 time. 1st trumpet's highest note is A. Clarinets play above the break.
