Lux Futura (Light of the Future) was commissioned by the Royal Wind Orchestra Delft and is inspired by the letters 'D-E-L-F-T' using the letter notation system by Bla Bartk. In this 'Delft' cell, there is referral to the 'Trinitas', the bourdon bell of the Old Church in Delft, that only tolls during a funeral of a member of the Dutch Royal Family. The Delft melody switches to the 'Agneta March', which is a reference to the history of the Royal Wind Orchestra Delft. Further on the love theme, played by the bass instruments represents the love of the inhabitants for their city throughout space and time. In the middle movement, the beauty of the city is depicted by the coranglais (English horn) solo, as an ode to the lovely city of Delft. When performed, one can choose to use sound city samples recorded in Delft to create a truly magnificent spectacle. £144.99The Air Race - Otto M. Schwarz
In 1934, the city of Melbourne celebrated its centenary and marked the occasion with the MacRobertson International Air Race. KLM's entry was its first DC-2, PH-AJU 'Uiver' (Stork), which took off on 20 October 1934. Shortly before the finish, the plane had to make an emergency landing due to poor weather conditions. The following morning, the entire town turned out to dig the aircraft out of the mud, enabling to resume its flight. Nonetheless, the distance was covered in three days, 18 hours and 17 minutes: a winning performance! This programmatic piece tells the story describing the start of the engines in bar one, the flight over the clouds, the thunderstorm, theemergency landing and many more scenes!

Aurora Dances was commissioned by the Hong Kong-based Winter Band Festival, and consists of three movements, to be played without a break. 'Aurora Borealis' opens with florid woodwind figures and highlights different sections of the band in turn. The second movement 'Aurora Australis' leads to a sombre chorale, which builds to a full-band climax. The finale 'Aurora Dances' is characterised by rhythmic, dance-like themes. A central section features a contrasting legato melody, but this doesn't dispel the energetic feel of the opening, which returns to close the work.Recorded by the Kobe College Wind Orchestra and its conductor Satoshi Yagisawa

The Norwegian vocalist, guitarist and songwriter Jan Eggum is regarded as one of our most important musicians in the Norwegian folk art and popular music. He recorded his debut album "Jan Eggum" in 1975 and is since then recognized as a "cheerful melancholic". This medley include three of his best and most famous songs: De skulle begrave en konge stor (1979), Mor jeg vil tilbake (1990) and P'an igjen (1997). This arrangement was commissioned by Jernbanens Musikkorps in Oslo with support from NOPA (Norwegian Society of Composers and Lyricists). The durata of this arrangement is approx. 8 minutes. For a shorter version, it's facilliated to omit one orseveral repeats.
