Adventure Land is written in the form of a symphonic march which features a slow and pleasant passage in the middle of the work. Rutter was encouraged to make a purely orchestral version, from which this band arrangement has been adapted. This arrangement is compatible with the published vocal score. When performing as a piece for Wind Band alone, the instrumentalists should play all their parts, including the cue size notes.
