Made popular by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir's Grammy winning performance in 1959, Peter Wilhousky's famous arrangement of Battle Hymn of the Republic has remained a staple to this day. In this Critical Edition for Band edited by Justin P. Tokke, a new arrangement has been crafted based on Wilhousky's original orchestral scoring. To enhance playability, generous cross-cuing and doubling of the choral parts have been applied in cases where the band version is played without voices. This new arrangement ensures complete compatibility with both the choral and orchestral versions, with matching measure numbers and rehearsal marks, and comes complete with a full score and parts produced with modern engraving standards. Insurgence - Rossano Galante
In a world where food is rationed based on wealth and status, people experiencing poverty have formed a task force to gain equality. Insurgence, by Rossano Galante, begins with a driving, rhythmic ostinato in the winds, low brass, and percussion. Soaring, aggressive horn lines take the lead in this post-apocalyptic setting. This theme is passed to the trumpets, then the winds, heralding their presence in this work. The piece transitions to a slightly lyrical section, capturing the pain and struggle these humans must endure during these challenging times. The piece recapitulates the main theme with the full ensemble, bringing this composition to a thunderous conclusion. (3:30)

£72.99Memories of the Past - Satoshi Yagisawa
This beautiful chorale was commissioned by the Temasek Junior College Alumni Band from Singapore and is dedicated to its conductor, Mr. Lin Ah Leck, who sadly passed away in 2019. The music pays homage to Maestro Lin-sheng, as he was affectionately called by the band members. Mr. Lin, a devotee of Yagisawa's music, selected many of his works for their concerts.BRHaving visited Singapore many times, the composer has had the opportunity to listen to Mr. Lin and his band perform and was deeply moved by their expressive and warm performances, leading to him writing this chorale work about the 'eternal bond' between a teacher and his students. The world premiere of this piece in Singapore by the Temasek Junior College Alumni Band was titled Echoes of Temasek - In Memory of Meastro Lin-sheng. For this publication, it has been revised and retitled Memories of the Past.
