When a fuller instrumentation is available, teachers and conductors are encouraged to vary the scoring as appropriate, particularly in repeated sections. E for Eternity was composed in memory of Nathan Luke Ray, a tubaist who had always dreamed of playing in the Fresno State Bulldog Marching Band. Nathan died in a car accidenton on his way home from realizing that dream - performing at his first game as a Fresno State student, a game nationally televised on ESPN. This piece was written by his teacher; the title came from his classmates, in memory of this vibrant young musician.

Johan Baptist Georg Neruda was a classical composer born in Bohemia which is now part of the Czech Republic. Very little is known about this composer other than he had a good reputation as a violinist and conductor in Prague and Germany and became the Konzertmeister of the Dresden Court Orchestra.
