£60.99Quebec Folk Rhapsody (Concert Band - Score and Parts) - Buckley, Robert
The rich heritage of French-Canadian folk music dates back several centuries. Robert has chosen three of these songs to create a musical portrait of this colorful culture. The opening piece is the jaunty and dance-like "Monsieur Lecure," followed by the hauntingly beautiful "Blanche Comme la Neige." The piece concludes with the spirited march "Vive la Canadienne!," which features a drum break and builds to an exciting, rousing finish. The creative use of harmonizations, key changes and dynamic contrasts gives this piece a sophisticated sound and intensity of a much more advanced piece. Duration: 3:45

£79.99Serpent Sea (Concert Band - Score and Parts) - Buckley, Robert
4th Movement of The Seas of the Moon. The fourth movement of Robert Buckley's grandly cinematic suite describing impressions of the "seas" of the moon, Serpent Sea is animated, exuberant and somewhat over-the-top. It was inspired by the idea of two huge winged serpents rising out of the waves and frolicking together in a wild, barbaric dance. The pair do, however, show a more graceful side every once in a while - represented by an exotic theme that starts in the clarinet and flute. The movement ends with a wild flurry as the serpents vanish back into the sea.Duration: 3:45

£72.99Sea of Clouds (Concert Band - Score and Parts) - Buckley, Robert
3rd Movement of The Seas of the Moon. The third movement of Robert Buckley's grandly cinematic suite describing impressions of the "seas" of the moon, Sea of Clouds was inspired by a series of paintings done by Claude Monet in the London fog. Monet captured the gradations of light as it was affected by fog with ghostly images sifting through. This movement is mostly subdued and dreamlike, the music ebbing and flowing and eventually building to a vast wall of sound and then dissolving into silence. Duration: 5:00

1st Movement of The Seas of the Moon.Since the beginning of humanity we've been mesmerised by the moon, and what were originally thought to be seas appearing on the surface. Cathedral Grove is a magnificent park on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada, containing some of the oldest and largest trees in the world. Evocative and impressionistic in nature, Robert Buckley's writing depicts the richness of the colours and textures, and the diffused light shining through the canopy of leaves above. At times hauntingly lyrical, and other times prayer-like and reverent, but always filled with awe and beauty. (Includes optional part for acoustic guitar or harp).Duration: 3:10

£106.99PACIFICA (Advanced Concert Band) - Buckley, Robert
The idea for Pacifica came from an automobile trip down the coastal road of the west coast of North America from Vancouver to San Francisco. This area is alive with stunning vistas, pristine beaches and animal life. The composer was watching the eagles soaring overhead and wondered what all of this would look like from the eagle's perspective - through the eyes of an eagle.
