As part of its 850th anniversary, the Swiss town of Reinach (Canton of Basel Country), commissioned Gauthier Dupertuis to produce an energetic and lively work for the town's concert band, the MG Konkordia Reinach, conducted by maestro Miguel Etchegoncelay. Reinach Jubilee follows the form of a miniature overture, characterised by an almost regular pulsation from the beginning to the end of the work. The first part is of a resolutely festive character, in contrast with a peaceful central part, gradually returning to the solemn and jubilant outbursts of the beginning of the work.
