VirtEuphonity (CB) - Jan De Maeseneer
VirtEuphonity is a virtuoso and funky solo work for euphonium and band (or piano & drums). The work is written for Kevin Van Giel (euphonium at the Belgian Royal Air Force Band) and consists of three parts. The first is an atmospheric opener that taps the technical skills of the euphonium player with his many notes, double tones and jumps over the registers. The second part is a ballad and the third part you get a funky solo with Oriental influences to end again with the opening theme.
