Vienna Festival Music is an opening piece composed in the same style and sound that composer Otto M. Schwarz uses for his great dramatic historical concert works such as Nostradamus, Man in the Ice and The Count of Monte Cristo. This piece features a drum set and an electric bass, creating a kind of crossover sound by combining film music with pop music. For this composition, Otto M. Schwarz received the prestigious Scholarship of the Wiener Symphoniker (Vienna Symphony Orchestra).

The Italian film music composer Piero Umiliani originally composed Mah Na Mah Na in 1968 for the soundtrack of the Swedish movie Sweden - Heaven or Hell. However the piece only became a hit in the 1970s, when Jim Henson used the catchy melody in his children's TV series The Muppet Show and Sesame Street. Starflash describes a celestial phenomenon that the composer witnessed in the summer of 2005 gazing at the night sky over the Greek island of Kos. He saw two shooting stars coming from different directions, approaching each other and burning up. This piece begins with a fanfare representing the vastness of space, followed by the flight of the shooting stars. Characteristic Greek dance elements are interwoven with themes in the style of film music. In the middle section, a bolero with an oriental flair sets in, symbolizing the close mainland of Turkey with the lights shining at night. Thanks to its unconventional rhythms and catchy melodies, Starflash is an easily accessiblemusical description of a personal experience in a modern symphonic style.
