Ceremonial - Ferrer Ferran
Ceremonial was composed for the opening of the Auditorio Florida, the home base of the Banda Primitiva de Paiporta. The composition consists of three movements. I. Introduction - The introduction is presented in the form of a fanfare; it heralds the ceremony in a majestic way. II. March - The marching music leads to an expressive and delicate melody that contrasts with the other movements.III. Dance and finale - A dance concludes the ceremony. The dance, in combination with the melodic lines, radiates energy and grandeur, and finds its climax in a grandiose moment, which every ceremony deserves.

On August 14th 2020, the composer Noah Wada saw the Perseids meteor shower from a hill. He could clearly see many bright stars streaming across the sky, as if they were falling down on the earth. The dazzling sight was enough to inspire him to compose this overture."Starlit Landscape" was commissioned by the Kawagoe High School Band, Kawagoe City, Saitama, Japan and premiered on March 20th, 2023 by the band and Mr. Hiroki Mori, director."Starlit Landscape" is a sparkling overture from the Japanese composer Naoya Wada. It begins with a bold brass fanfare over a bright woodwind passage.

Commissioned by the Oregon Symphonic Band in Portland, Bridge of the Gods is a dramatic three-movement symphonic poem presenting the colorful legend told by the Native American Klickitatst about the origins of the volcanic mountains of the Cascade range and legendary bridge. The first movement (Saghalie) pays tribute to the powerful chief of all gods and is based on a majestic fanfare theme. The second movement captures the beauty of the maiden Loowit, with haunting flute and English horn solos accompanied by soft chanting voices. The final movement, Tanmahawis, utilizes stark clusters, jagged melodic fragments, and rhythmic percussive energy as it depicts the destruction of the mighty bridge. Olympia - Brian Balmages
This fanfare captures the spirit of Olympia, the birthplace of the Olympic Games. The Games began in 776 B.C. in honor of Zeus. Since then, they have become the central location for heroes and champions to compete for the highest honors in the world. This work also serves as a reminder that heroes are all around us - in teachers who stay after school to help students, in parents who strive to give their children the best possible lives, and most of all in students themselves, the young champions of our world who see nothing between them and their dreams. The mallet part calls for multiple sets of bells (or other metallic instruments such as the vibraphone). Certainly,two to three players can really make this an effective part. There are two Percussion 1 parts included: a normal part and an advanced part. The level of the snare drummer will determine which part should be used. However, both parts may be used simultaneously if percussionists are available.
