I'll Never Fall in Love Again (Flexible Ensemble - Score and Parts) - Bacharach & David - Sunde, Inge

I'll Never Fall in Love Again was originally written for the 1968 musical Promises, Promises by the songwriting team of Burt Bacharach/Hal David. There have been several recordings of this beautiful and timeless pop ballad. The most popular was released in 1970 by American singer Dionne Warwick. This arrangement keeps the relaxed style of the original, though with some dynamic changes and a bit of extra powered wind instrument effects. The memorable melody is passing between the players and should be played smoothly over the lively but steady latin beat.Flexible instrumentation (Flex 5 ShowBlow) makes it playable for small as well as larger ensembles.Duration: 3.00

Macbeth (Fanfare and March) (Concert Band - Score and Parts) - Walton, William - Noble, Paul

The following program notes are taken from those by Christopher Palmer, the arranger for orchestra from William Walton's incidental music for John Gielgud's production of Macbeth in 1941-42. The music was recorded and taken on tour with the production. Up to now it has remained in manuscript and unknown. Although this piece is called Fanfare and March, the principal march is in fact the banquet music (with its clever suggestion of bagpipes on the woodwind, hence my ad lib parts for extra flutes and oboes). Walton made several different versions of this for dramatic purposes, and here some of them have been pieced together. The central section of Trio is the March (Show) of the Eight Kings (Act 4, Scene 1) which reveals to Macbeth that Banquo's issue, not his, will rule in Scotland.

Heart in Motion (Concert Band - Score and Parts) - Yagisawa, Satoshi

Heart in Motion compares the development of an ensemble to a tree, which-with careful nurturing-grows branches, twigs, leaves and fruit. As a fertiliser, you need to add an extra helping of positive attitude, enthusiasm and passion to it. Inspired by these images and concepts, Satoshi Yagisawa has composed Heart in Motion which, with a magnificent fanfare followed by a warm-sounding chorale, certainly lives up to its name.Duration: 3:15

Song for Hope (Concert Band - Score and Parts) - Sweeney, Michael

Written as a memorial for a middle school band student, this sensitive and moving work opens with a chorale played by off-stage brass. A flowing melody stated in the low register is then developed before leading to a brief fanfare-like affirmation. The Korean folk song "You and I" is briefly quoted before returning to the off-stage brass and calm closing passage. A beautifully scored lyric piece for band. Extra players are not required for the off-stage parts.Duration: 4:30

The Phil Collins Collection (Concert Band - Score and Parts) - Schaars, Peter Kleine

Phil Collins first burst onto the music scene in 1970 when he joined the rock band Genesis, not as their singer but as their drummer. In 1975 following the departure of singer Peter Gabriel, Phil Collins thought he would 'give it a go' at being the vocalist! Twenty years later everyone knows at least one of his hits. This highly entertaining medley features: Something Happened on the Way to Heaven, Saturday Night and Sunday Morning, A Groovy Kind of Love, Another Day in Paradise, Easy Lover, Against All Odds and Sussudio. Everyone will love playing this medley which covers many styles and emotions. The option to have the band make a vocal contribution can give an extra dimension during the performance. Duration: 8.00
