Wild Horse Canyon
Here is wonderful program music for young bands suggesting the imagery of wild horses roaming free in the Red Rock canyons of Utah. Interesting parts abound, with unison and independent lines for all players. The short opening fanfare sets the stage for the brisk allegro section. A short interlude leads to a lyrical section for the woodwinds and low brass. A new transitional fanfare leads us back to a recap of the main themes. An inspiring concert or festival selection!

High Voltage - Thierry Deleruyelle
High Voltage is an especially energetic composition in the big band style. The blaring brass and the ornate interplay of the woodwinds lend this work great character and conviction. In the second half of the piece two solos are played: firstly the tenor saxophone (alternatively alto saxophone), followed by a virtuoso variation in the trombone (alternatively baritone or euphonium).

We are please to be able to release it in its original form in this collection of wind band music.

Meditation on St Clement - David Chaulk
Inevitably, comparisons will be made with Philip Wilby's setting of the same hymn tune so It's interesting to note that this arrangement was done in 1983 - ten years prior to Wilby's very fine arrangement. It was used to great effect by the band on that trip.
