£5.95Keep the Faith (Concert Band - Score only) - Stubbs, Duncan
The composer writes: This piece originally started as a personal tribute to my late mother. Not long after writing the opening ideas, I was approached to write music to accompany a rendition of the poem, 'We Will Keep the Faith' by Moina Michael for performance as part of the 100th anniversary of the start of World War One. The appropriateness of the music already written, and the sentiment behind both concepts, was a coincidence too good to overlook. Rarely sentimental and always practical, I feel sure my mother would be delighted that the music she originally inspired was being used to portray a much wider universal message of remembrance.

£110.00Mekong (Concert Band - Score and Parts) - Smith, Robert W.
Mekong is a river that flows through the heart of Vietnam. Robert W. Smith has created this composition for band based on the Mekong River delta's historic significance during the Vietnam War of the 1960s and 1970s. Beautiful and haunting melodies, lush and dissonant harmonies and acoustically created sound effects combine to provide a concert performance experience that will not be forgotten by performer or audience. This piece completes a compositional journey the composer began in Korea to honor his father and those who served in Southeast Asia. £295.00Partita (Concert Band - Score and Parts) - Rutter, John - Noble, Paul
Xylophones ahoy! John Rutter's Partita of 1976, is not a piece you might necessarily have expected from the renowned composer of some of the classics of contemporary sacred choral music. Yet this is a giant of a piece that allows everyone in the ensemble to truly shine, and one which surely will become a significant addition to the repertoire of the Concert Band. £70.50Dillon's Flight (Concert Band - Score and Parts) - Ford, Ralph
Dillon's Flight was inspired by the legend of the Phoenix, a bird of fire that does not lay eggs, has no younglings, was here at the beginning of time, and yet still lives today in a hidden desert land. Every 500 years, the sun burns down on the Phoenix until a flash of light appears and it becomes consumed by the flames of fire. From the pile of silvery-grey ash rises up a young Phoenix. The young Phoenix then takes flight and sings its glorious song to the sun for another five hundred years. Dedicated to the Dillon School in Phoenix, New York, this musical depiction is jam-packed with energy.Duration: 5.00

£49.95Feu de Joie (Concert Band - Score and Parts) - Wiffin, Rob
Feu de Joie (Fire of Joy) is a musical depiction of the rifle salute of the same name ?€" in this case sequences of notes fired into the air in rapid succession. This is quite an adventurous work, different from much of Wiffin's music but a development of a strand that can be traced from Gipsy Dance and Pagan Ritual. It goes further than either of those in terms of musical language but is not atonal though some sections have a high level of dissonance. Duration: 5.45
