Farewell was composed at the farewell of Fanfare Trompetterkorps Der Cavalerie in 1993. The work is based on 2 of the most famous tattoo signals in military music: "Reveille" and "Tattoo." Farewell opens festively with blasting trumpets and then continues with a somewhat melancholy melody based on the reveille theme. After interweaving all the signals and themes in the work's climax, the work ends quietly, with "in the distance" a lone trumpet playing the tattoo signal....

Ever Forward, Ever Onward is a wonderful piece written in concert B-flat and only uses notes within the scale. The clarinets do not go over the break. If students have been playing for at least a semester, this piece will be just challenging enough to make them want to work, but not so hard that they give up. The lines are interesting, too, no matter what instrument you can play. Students will love to play this and I hope you have fun. 1st trumpet's highest note is A.

Hangin' Ten is one of two movements of a composition called "Barefeet." The works may be played separately or together in a concert. This movement opens with sounds that are a bit mystical, then moving to a Latin jazz/rock style. It is quite syncopated and a fun song for your audience. The ranges are mostly within a Grade 4, though the last note of the Trumpet is C. Rhythmically it is challenging and a bit reminiscent of "West Side Story."

"Haven't Met You Yet" is the first single from Canadian singer Michael Bubl's sixth album, Crazy Love, released on August 31, 2009.[1] According to Bubl, the single and its official music video are "about everyone's dream of finding a relationship and love."[2] Bubl co-wrote "Haven't Met You Yet" with Alan Chang and Amy Foster-Gillies, and dedicated it to his then fiance and now wife, Luisana Lopilato (who appears as his love interest in the music video).In 2012, Nick Jonas covered the song in the TV series Smash, so this music can also be used in a TV/Movie theme concert.Soloist opportunities:Attached is a vocal lead that can be used with the arrangement. The piece was composed by Knut Reiersrud, Iver Kleive and Marilyn Mazur. Lullaby from Four Watercolours - Tor Aulin
Few composers have had such an impact on Swedish music life as Tor Aulin (1866 1914). He studied violin and music theory in Stockholm 1877 83, and in Berlin 1884 86. In 1887 he founded the Aulin Quartet, which for more than 20 years played animportant role in broadening Swedish interest in chamber music. The quartet was often on tour with the composer Wilhelm Stenhammar at the piano.1889 1902 Aulin was the leader of the orchestra at the Royal Opera in Stockholm.At Aulinsinstigation the Concert Association in Stockholm (later The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra) was founded in 1902, and he was its conductor until 1909. From then on he was the conductor of the Gothenburg ConcertAssociation (nowadays The GothenburgSymphony Orchestra).Besides being a first class violinist, Tor Aulin was also an accomplished pianist, and Edvard Grieg was deeply impressed by Aulin's rendering of his piano concerto.Aulins list of works is dominated by his musicfor violin. He wrote three violin concertos, the third of which still has a place in the repertoire.Four Aquarelles for violin and piano from 1899 is his most beloved composition. In 1996 Jerker Johansson arranged this work for soloinstruments, one for each of the four movements, and concert band. The solo instruments being clarinet, trumpet, flute and alto saxophone.
