Four Original Warm-Ups for Band (Concert Band - Score and Parts) - Appermont, Bert
From his experience as a conductor and adjudicator, Bert Appermont knows that bands often experience the same problems: lack of sound control, intonation difficulties, uncontrolled articulation and insufficient phrasing. Practising these aspects is very demanding and there is little material available that is also enjoyable to play. Four Original Warm-Ups consists of four fun warm-up pieces. Each piece focuses on one of the problems without the music being dull. The four pieces work equally well when played together or as individual items either at rehearsals or in a concert. Why not add a little Renaissance splendour to any concert with this unique work?Duration: 4:30

Pilgrims' Swing (Concert Band - Score and Parts) - Lloyd, Graham
The Andante from the first movement of Mendelssohn's Italian Symphony (often nicknamed Pilgrims' March) contains the most beautifully haunting melody supported by the simplest of bass lines and counterpoint figures. As a young musician, Graham Lloyd was so fascinated by this music he bought the orchestral score to study the notes, which at the time made little sense to him. However, he did notice that the bass line was similar to a "walking bass" line in a standard swing tune.In this composition Graham Lloyd uses Mendelssohn's original bass line, melodic line and counterpoint figures but gives them a swing feel. Who knows, maybe if Mendelssohn had been born a hundred years later, he could have become one of our big band leaders!Duration: 5:15

Spy Chase (Concert Band - Score and Parts) - Karrick, Brant
Spy Chase evokes images of one's favourite secret agent who is about to embark upon a mission placed deep in the field of crime, espionage, and corruption, and of course our hero will always have time for a little romance. The music will sound reminiscent by using familiar "spy chords," a minor triad with added 6th or raised 7th, and the trademark chromaticism associated with the composer's favourite spy movies. Eine Kleine Rockmusik (Concert Band - Score and Parts) - Jennings, Paul
By the time the Mozart family tree had blossomed into the twentieth century, there was very little genius left in the bloodline. Includes: The Boy from New York City; Pachelbel's Canon; Earth Angel; 1812 Overture; Eine Kleine Nachtmusik, K.525; A Groovy Kind of Love; The Loco-Motion; Mony, Mony; New World Symphony (Theme); Ode to Joy; Peter and the Wolf (Theme); You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin'.
