Ave Maria (Concert Band - Score and Parts)
Schubert's famous Ave Maria was originally titled Ellens dritter Gesang and was the sixth song in the Fr?ulein vom See song cycle (after The Lady of the Lake by Walter Scott). Later the Latin prayer Ave Maria was set to the melody, creating one of his most well-known sacred songs ever. In this arrangement the melody line can be played by either a solo trumpet or by the entire trumpet section. CATS TALES (Concert Band) - Graham, Peter
Cats Tales pays tribute to four wonderful musicians who shared a love of jazz and New York City. Film composer Elmer Bernstein is remembered in 1) Catalonia before a musical gear change that references the work of his contemporary colleague, "Bernstein East", aka Leonard Bernstein. The presence of West Side Story looms large here. Henry Mancini's most famous composition (which concerned a cat of the pink variety) provides the inspiration for the 2nd movement, 2) Catwalk before saxophone legend Sonny Rollins's jazz standard Airegin is given a contrafact treatment in 3) Scat! allowing a number of instrumental soloists to shine. NB: The suite can be extended by including the trombone solo Catnap (see above) and the Toccata (see below), available separately

Centenary (Concert Band - Score and Parts)
Centenary is a cheerful march with a festive character. It opens with a solemn brass introduction and the first reprise and the bass solo that follows are characterised by a tight style of play. The trio begins with a simple melodic theme followed by a transitional section of alternating descant, bass and tenor registers. The piece comes to a finale when the trio returns with overflowing exuberance. 03:00
