£116.40Sinfonie Concertante - Gerard Boedijn
The famous pioneer of original Dutch wind music realised in the early fifties that the wind band had no classical repertoire at all.He thought this shortage should be completed with original compositions instead of transcriptions and arrangements. This little symphony was an immediate success and still belongs to the repertoire of many bands. We thought it was high time to publish a new edition with a full score.

Again a new edition in the Creative Compositions series. This piece was revolutionary in its time in 1972, because it was the first time a 5/4 bar had been used.. It is a real program piece with a film scenario setting, which can be shown in the beginning titles: (Corporated Pictures Presents, Costumed by, Music by etc.) and description of the scenes (the Hero drives away to the castle; the Count is playing golf; That night in the club). £159.60Variations on a Japanese Folksong - Henk van Lijnschooten
The pentatonic, so characteristic of Japanese folk music, plays an important role in this work. After a short introduction, we hear the theme, which subsequently undergoes a number of metamorphoses. Sometime, the original theme gives way to other folk song elements. Towards the end, a new theme appears - a little Japanes dance tune - played by flutes and clarinets. Yet another theme arises from this. In the finale, the three themes come together, and finally the main theme predominates.

£214.80Figures Sonores - Henk Badings
Figures Sonores was composed in 1984 at the request of the World Music Contest Kerkrade. It was used as test piece in the 'concert division' at the 1985 contest. The board of the WMC asked Badings to write a new type of test piece, stressing the musical contents and its delivery rather than technical difficulties. Moreover the composition was not to exceed a duration of ten minutes. The latter really disturbed the composer as he felt he could not really develop completely his musical ideas. The three parts are played without any interruption. The lyrical, pathetical first part is followed by a solemn middle part in which the percussion has a preponderant role, and a virtuoso and whimsical finale concludes the work. According to the commission the musical expression dominates in all solo passages, that occur in all instrumental groups.
