The song is based on her personal experience: when she first moved to New York City, she couldn't sleep due to the constant noise. She meets her noisy neighbours and tells how she finally gets them to keep quiet. We hear elements from the opera Tristan und Isolde, the aria Queen of the Night from The Magic Flute, as well as Swan Lake.

The aria 'Kuda, kuda v udalilis' is sung by Lensky, fianc of Olga and friend of Onegin in the second act of Tschaikowsky's opera Eugene Onegin: Lensky challenged Onegin to a duel in response to Onegin's advances on Olga. Now, on the morning of the duel, Lensky looks back on his happy youth as he waits for Onegin to arrive. He realizes that he will probably die in the duel and that he does not particularly care if he does. The only great loss in his death would be that he would never see Olga again.

This overture has been inspired by the Italian opera and bel canto and this explains why it is extremely melodious. As there is no underlying story, the composition is meant as pure easy listening music. The work starts with an Adagio, a slow canatbile introduction, followed by a lightfooted Allegro Vivo. Then comes the aria, an Andante Rubato which creates a moment of rest. Then the Allegro comes back and the composition ends very joyfully with a short but energetic coda. Finally 'all's well that end's well'.
