Fontane di Roma (Concert Band - Score and Parts) - Respighi, Ottorino - Kimura, Yoshihiro

Italian composer Ottorino Respighi wrote several operas, ballet music, chamber music, piano and organ works as well as Cantatas in a style much influenced by the French Impressionists mixed with his unique personal style. The Japanese arranger Yoshihiro Kimura has skilfully adapted Respighi's symphonic poem Fontane di Roma for concert bands of an advanced level.Duration: 15:15

This emotional original work celebrates the entire United States space program and specifically the July 20th anniversary of the first lunar landing of Apollo 11 in 1969. The piece opens with a majestic and punctuated theme followed immediately by an inquisitive melody.
