Forever Climbing - Larry Clark

Forever Climbing was written as tribute to the loss of a high school band student that was tragically killed in a rock climbing accident. It is not intended as a sad piece, but as a celebration of the life of this exceptional young man. At times the piece is contemplative, but also contains a joy that is to depict the way he lived. As the piece builds to its conclusion, the listener will have a sense of fulfillment in a life well lived, even though it was cut short. A moving new addition to the band repertoire.

Forever Flying - James Swearingen

"Forever Flying" is a beautiful piece that has been created to provide young musicians with an opportunity to perform music that sounds above grade level, yet is highly accessible. Conductors will find it to be very melodic, and scored in such a way as to insure that your students will sound their absolute best. Those attending the concert will be deeply moved by the emotional message of the music. Very lyrical!

Forever Free - J. S. Taylor

Forever Free - Kenneth Fuchs

Commissioned to celebrate the sesquicentennial of the state of West Virginia, Forever Free incorporates indigenous elements of the state's musical heritage, capturing a robust and celebratory spirit. Cast in a single movement inthree sections, the title is inspired by the state motto, Montani semper liberi (Mountaineeers forever free). The work is unified at the outset and closing by a ceremonial fanfare that is based on thematic figures from the statesong West Virginia Hills. A contrasting middle section features a lyric variant accompanied by a militaristic snare drum and timpani cadence, before all thematic elements are combined for the buoyant and festive conclusion.
