Johan de Corff is fully conversant as far as writing marches is concerned and with 'Centre' he has added another prime specimen to this eternally popular musical style. Centrifugal Force - Sean O'Loughlin

Just as the title suggests, this exciting original work is full of push-and-pull contrasts between musical concepts that will have the audience pinned to the backs of their seats. Open voicings give the piece its fresh and mysterious sound.

Centrifuge - Earl J. Fox Jr.

Centrifuge was written for the 2015 Southeastern Louisiana Middle School Band Camp and its director, Paul Frechou. This piece portrays the a centrifuge vigorously spinning with no sign of slowing down or stopping. An allegro tempo is used to fuel the drive and impetus throughout this energetic musical depiction of a whirling perpetual motion dynamo. The opening theme is first presented by clarinets playing in their lowest register as the machine starts up and begins to build up speed. Underlying the entire work is a pulsating percussion section which provides the thrust and forward motion along with various syncopated rhythms contributed by the winds.

This energetic work is a celebration of sound. High-powered fanfares and lyrical flowing lines build to a dramatic finish. "Centura" will impress your audience while remaining accessible to high school ensembles. Excellent choice for festivals and concert closing.

Exhibiting all of the factors which have made him such a popular composer of original works for band such as intelligent, idiomatic writing for each instrument, great playability, singable themes, rhythmic vitality, interesting percussion parts and, in short, an uncanny understanding of the school concert band and student musicians. Century Variations - Oliver Waespi

In 2025, the Stadtmusikkapelle Wilten celebrated its 375th anniversary and the Tiroler Blasmusikverband, its 100th anniversary. Century Variations was thus created as a joint commission and is a free fantasia on Heinrich Isaac's famous song, Innsbruck, ich muss dich lassen (Innsbruck, I Must Leave Thee). In addition to pulsating rhythms and a luminous flow of sound, this energetic concert work includes a beautiful, introverted Adagio featuring various solo instruments.
